Heart of a lion 🦁 🎂 — sounds cheesy, and sure it is, but honestly I must’ve got one to have made it this far with so many pieces of myself intact. I’m still the kid in the band who would whip a guitar around his back and hop around with so much energy he earned the nickname “rabbit”, who dove with reckless abandon into moshpits and oceans alike surrounded by giants, who continues to spit out jokes even when they don’t land, who people didn’t believe in because they saw wasted potential; who has become okay with heartbreak even when it feels like a supernova is collapsing into a million fragments and tearing up the atmosphere, who still trips over himself bc he never really grew up in the ways they tell you you’re supposed to grow up. I’m still the kid from The Bay who wants to riot for romance. What’s changed between then and now is I’ve learned how to take care of myself, and maybe more importantly to hold myself accountable when I’m acting out of pocket.
