Haven’t posted in a while. Not exactly sure why but I couldn’t let this day go by without leaving my youngest daughter a message. Haven, today you are 10. Double digits! You promised me at age 5 that you’d stay my little one forever. I remember you making me measure your 🦶🏼 against the palm of my 🤚🏽 on a weekly basis to make sure it wasn’t growing. Now, your foot extends up my forearm. Unless I’m shrinking, it’s safe to say, you didn’t hold up your end of the bargain. I am so proud of the 10 year old you. You’re an old soul who has an ability to see right through the bullshit. Life is playing out for you exactly how you’ve designed it. You have all the emotions, you have all the feels. You’re wicked smart, crazy athletic and luckily, you have your moms rhythm. It all seems so easy for you. If I could give you one morsel of advice on your 10th birthday it would be to embrace the path that you’re carving out for yourself. Don’t try to follow in anyone’s footsteps because their 👟’s won’t fit. The 🌏 is yours and I have no doubt you’re going to make it a better place for us all. Words will never be able to articulate the depth of my ❤️ for you but I know you feel it. Happy birthday my angel 🌈🎂You make me so proud✨
