Healthy cities create healthy communities. At least, that’s what was found in a recent report by Kellogg College’s Global Centre on Healthcare and Urbanisation in partnership with The Prince’s Foundation. According to the report, ensuring our urban areas support health and wellbeing is both vital and urgent. This incorporates everything from designing walkable cities (to reduce our car-dependency) to increasing the provision of affordable housing. Discussing the publication of the report alongside a set of recommendations for urban planners, Simon Sadinsky, Executive Director of The Prince’s Foundation, said: “We hope the recommendations will provide a foundation and a reference that planners around the world can use to engender improved wellbeing among those in urban environments.” Click on the link in our bio to view the full report and find out more about The Prince’s Foundation’s mission to help create healthy cities.
