Melanie met us in Glencoe before the Games to speak to us about her journey in athletics, which began with the humble goal of re-introducing sport into her life after her injury. Where disability sport is often seen as synonymous with elite athletes, Melanie wants to raise awareness and encourage participation of every-day recreational sport and physical activity throughout the disabled community.
