A Golden Eagle over the vineyard! What a treat to see this beauty flying over the grape vines at Las Cimas. 🦅 Up here in the hills of the Russian River Valley, they also play their part in our vineyard ecosystem, naturally helping with rodent control and reminding us that wine country is more than rows of vines…it’s a living, breathing web of life and home to so many cool animals. Fun fact: Did you know that Golden Eagles are the largest bird of prey in North America! They can have a wing span of 7.7 ft, weigh up to 15 pounds, and have a diving speed of over 150 miles per hour! 🤯
