Gone With The Wind. The build up always gives me trouble - it’s flam city between the kick and snare and I tend to pray that the volume and the lights sufficiently distract the audience. The reality is most mortals are never going to achieve the terminator Uber edit sound (although there are exceptions it seems?). Again I took the time to look where I was rushing and where I was lagging (sorry about the last 8 years) and I managed to get this in a better place. Easy to be thrown off kilter when the kick rhythm is so bizarre. This style of drumming is not my forte! I come in late twice in this despite trying to consciously NOT do that, but it’s amazing what years of conditioning does. I did loads of takes of this, this was the best one - I am not as good as Instagram suggests, remember that no matter who you are watching on here.
