For those that have been following along, my walima (reception) was the LAST of my wedding events 👰🏻‍♀️ Zeb’s family and friends gave the most beautiful speeches, and I had tissues on hand as he inevitably sobbed through every single one of them. It was important to me that I found a partner that had a sensitive side, and I surely lucked out because this man wears his heart on his sleeve. My grandfather, Abba, unfortunately passed away last year and I missed him a lot during my wedding. I know he would have been overjoyed to see the celebrations. However, one of his childhood friends and neighbors attended the wedding and it made me feel like he was there with me. Every time I looked at him and his wife, I could see my own grandparents. It was so special to have them in attendance. & lastly I had a few friends left standing for the 7th event. I cannot believe how much these people sacrificed to celebrate with me at every step of the way - but my heart is filled with gratitude for them. I am so, so lucky. 🍀
