Big Day Out gallery 2 of 5 Has been a trip in the big day out memory hole thanks to @doublejradio and @pike_gemma’s BDO podcast. Inside that hole I’ve lost my shoes, friends and my shirt is stretched out to 10x the size it started the day and I should be more concerned about how I’m actually getting home. BDO tickets where my regular Christmas present and I literally spent all summer holidays anticipating that one day. I started shooting the festival about 16 years after I would have really liked to. But after diving into the archives it still comes across as, sun drenched, vibrant, musically diverse and just that touch out of control as I remember it in the 90s. #bigdayout’s in attendance 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 - Sydney 2004, 2005 - missed living OS :( 2006 - Sydney 2007 - Gold Coast, Sydney 2008 - Gold Coast (photo editor for @triplej), Sydney, Melbourne (shooting for @triplej - this was my first time shooting a festival and wow, I was not good at it.
