@jeanpierre_robinot does not need any introduction. A historic figure in the natural wine world who opened one of Paris' first natural wine bar L'Ange Vin in the late 1980s and even published a magazine “Le Rouge at Blanc” that has become bible to the international community. We've always admired his wines and approach to winemaking from afar but to hear the backstory and see/feel it up close was nothing we could've ever imagined. This was the most personal wine tasting I've ever been a part of. We toured the grounds, we heard about their winemaking philosophy/history, we tasted various vintages from the bottle/tank/barrel in cavernous 1600s cellars (ranging from pet nat vinified 3 weeks ago to 2006 sweet chenin) and ate lunch with Jean Pierre and his wife Noella. What shined through was the importance of working with the earth and treating it with care in every element.
