I’ve always wanted to visit Niagara Falls. I was over the moon when Kojo surprised me with a getaway to celebrate our 25th. Over the past several weeks I’ve been so consumed with wrapping up the end of the school year and getting the kids off to camp, plus planning a college friend reunion, that I had to #droptheball on figuring out what to do for our anniversary. Love this guy for picking up the ball and scoring a touchdown. I had such a phenomenal time that I seriously considered throwing my phone and laptop into the waterfalls to avoid ever coming back to reality. The majestic fury of the rushing water reminded me of these lines from my favorite Drew Dellinger poem: 16 million tons of rain are falling every second on the planet an ocean perpetually falling and every drop as your body every motion, every feather, every thought in your body time in your body and the infinite curled inside like invisible rainbows folding into light
