Tips for lightening your pack πβ¬οΈ 'save' this post for future planning
Having a lighter pack on any trek is a life saver. The lighter the weight of your pack, the more energy you have. In turn, meaning more distance can be covered.
π Purchase Ultra-light products β one thing we really wanted to shave off weight was our hammock. We swapped our @enohammocks DoubleNest for their SuperSub Ultralight hammock + Helios Suspension System!
π Repackage any food you purchase into uniform bags so they compact better
π Instead of carrying a 3L bladder bag, carry a 1L filter + lightweight water bottle, remembering to fill up when you have water sources
π Share the load. Going with others? Chances are, youβll have duplicates. Discuss beforehand who is bringing what
π Go stoveless. There are TONS of non-cook meal options so you can leave the stove, fuel etc at home
π Opt for a tent that pitched with your trekking or ski poles, compared to having to carry the poles in
What are some other things you do to help lighten the load when youβre on adventures?
