A couple weeks ago @jacklj and I took a short trip to Italy to visit Venice, Ferrara & Rome - cities where there used to be prominent Jewish communities. To justify the expenses to the accountant we called it a research trip; we were not on holiday but were in fact investigating the long lasting legacy the Jewish community bestowed on local cuisines.
