#throwbackthursday ! Just realised it’s already over 6months ago that I have had an honour to be awarded as a National winner of the wedding makeup artists! This was one of the best nights of my life! It was so unexpected that I literally couldn’t believe it , and still don’t sometimes! I love what I do and do it only because it makes me and my clients happy !This was always my best reward seeing my Brides smiling, receiving heartwarming thank you words and just being there for them is absolutely fantastic! But I picked up courage to enter TWIA thinking just to go out there and meet lovely people from the industry, secretly hoping to get some king of recognition:) And then BAM! I came home as a regional winner for EAST OF ENGLAND in November last year and literally was over the moon to be recognised and awarded with such a valuable award! To be picked out of so many talented makeup artists that covered Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk and Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex! This was just all thanks to my brides who took their time to vote for me and write most wonderful testimonials! I smile and cry at once when I read them!!!! So to cut the story short I qualified for the finals , National awards in London , that I almost didn’t go as I am terrified of London undergrounds especially at night 😬 , thinking no way I will win that one , perhaps should skip it :) But my husband and kids encouraged me saying: “imagine if you do win , as you are so good , and you miss out!” Imagine... So guess what!? I put my fears away, glittered up and went to have some fun ! And what fun it was !!! With the cherry 🍒 on the top! Yay! So here I am, holding the trophy in disbelief, happy as Larry :) Just wanted to go down in memory lane and thank all my lovely Brides for your kindness, my family for support and also two more amazing ladies Kristina & Kasia @kristinagasperasmua @kasia_fortuna who kept me sane and insanely motivated throughout the lockdowns with their wonderful tips and positive encouragement, you girLs rock , seriously!Also obviously thank you #TWIA22 @twia_official for organising such amazing events and for acknowledging & value so many talented creative people!
