A new parent is always told to cherish each moment because time will pass quickly. My first born just returned from a summer trip to Europe and it hit me that it’s happened. In the blink of an eye he’s grown into a passionate debater, gifted musician and loyal friend. What I admire the most about Kofi is that he doesn’t hold on to negative energy or emotions. I wish I could be like that. Plus if I had just an eighth of his confidence I’d be President by now. Kofi’s amazing in our family because he’s brilliant at reading a room and can cut through tension with one joke or gesture. I can always count on him to quell my anxiety by giving me a pep talk or just making me laugh. I’m not sure when the roles reversed but he often puts me to bed at night. If there’s one cherished moment that I wish could last forever it’s the sound of his guitar and his voice singing as I drift off to sleep. Hug your babies tonight.
