“Woodstock Christmas” Often called one of the prettiest small towns in the country, Woodstock, VT transforms into the ultimate holiday New England destination during their annual “Wassail Weekend”, which kicks off today! We ventured up there to catch the tail end of it last December for the first time and stayed over on Sunday night. The first stop on Sunday afternoon was over at the historic Billings Farm that was decorated in beautiful 19th century charm for the weekend. After checking into the quaint Blue Horse Inn right by the green later on we spent time walking around downtown with our cameras. This area is hard to properly describe in words during any season, but even more so during this part of December. Classy white Christmas lights cover the green area and all of the surrounding historic homes. I couldn’t pick just one image to share so I decided on my favorite 5 after going through them. One of the coolest things was a large star at the summit of Mt Tom that is lit up and can be seen from the downtown green. I loved the composition of positioning this star that was 3/4 mile away at the top of the town tree on the green so it appeared as the perfect tree topper. Getting the iconic Middle Covered Bridge in the frame as well made for the perfect trifecta and stunning Woodstock Christmas scene.
