On January 15, 1968, Ralph Baer — the WWII Refugee, inventor, game developer and engineer known as the father of gaming — applied for a patent on a game system that eventually became Magnavox Odyssey, the first commercial home video game console. Games have come a long way over the past 55 years, not just in technological advancements, but storyline exploration, community development, immersive innovation, and inclusivity, purpose & impact.
