Thank you everyone who donated, shared and supported this campaign- you have raised over $62000 to buy hundreds of wheelchairs and an vehicle to evacuate Ukrainians with disabilities, and in doing so helped us to ensure no person is left behind. We have been a little quiet over the last few days, as we’ve already begun working with our partners to identify what’s most needed for our first order. Wheelchairs aren’t really an ‘off the peg’ purchase: they have to be appropriately sized for each user; there are lots of different models and accessories; and many are only made to order. But our first 26 wheelchairs will be shipped this week - and thanks to @misha and the brilliant community at @GISH @randomactsorg, we’ll now be able to order so many more (including kids’ and high dependency models), as well as a vehicle to support evacuations.
