May marks my 13th year at @people so it feels like a good time to share some career news. In November, @charloshka told me I was being promoted to Executive Director Special Integrated Projects. I wondered what that was and if there was a period or a dash in that title. And after 20+ years as a beauty editor, I also wondered if that meant I’d now have to pay for Botox. In my new role, I’m overseeing the brand’s tentpoles including Sexiest Man Alive (don’t ask me who it is this year because I’ll get tasered if I even blink!), digital issues, digital covers, etc alongside two also newly promoted PEOPLE superstars @nicefunalex and @ana_jo (I’m really trying to make A3 Associates a thing). Almost six months later, the three of us, along with many other writers and editors has cranked out everything from a Super Bowl special (she does sports!) to the World’s Most Beautiful issue. And while I miss talking hyaluronic acid with @imthe_hunter and Hailey Bieber’s jeans with @brittanytalarico, they're my family so we’re forever a team. And, @hmuir, I’m confident we will still have more Anxious AndiTM️ adventures ahead. Thank you to @leahwyar and everyone at DDM who actually thought it was a good idea to give me more responsibility. And thank you to my parents who are so proud of my promotion but still tell people I’m the style and beauty director because “it sounds better.” I’m loving this crazy new job but the minute I see a Botox bill, I’m going back to beauty.
