Don't worry - our crews are ready with approximately 1,100 pieces of equipment, including snow plows and salt trucks to take care of 14,743 lane-km of roads, 7,300 km of sidewalks and 780 km of bike lanes and major trails. We work 24 hours to continuously check road conditions and monitor weather forecasts and pavement temperature. When it starts to snow, we salt all roads to make sure you can drive safely. When snow starts to accumulate, plows go out. Info: ❄️When 2.5 cm of snow has accumulated, we start to plow expressways ❄️When 5cm is on the ground we start to plow major roads, transit routes and streets with hills ❄️When we get to 8cm we start to plow residential streets. Bike lanes and cycle tracks are salted and/or plowed at about the same time as the adjacent road, based on the levels of service. Please, drive safe and be patient it's a lot of work but we're ready.
