Does anyone else think this past year has flown by?! Although a lot has happened in 2022 it still feels like a flash. All of this week, we are going to revisit our completed projects in 2022. We are so proud of each one of them and so excited for the wonderful families who’s home we helped create! We’re starting with #PalomasOnPoplar. We converted a one-bedroom/one bath loft into a 2 bedroom 2 bath home while making the kitchen larger! The apartment has double-height ceilings with a mezzanine that was used as the primary bedroom and a storage area. We enlarged the kitchen by moving the entrance door, enclosed the primary bedroom with a wall of glass, added a primary bathroom upstairs, completely renovated the enlarged kitchen and existing bathroom, added a pantry and laundry area, installed all new herringbone floors, and of coarse added a marble fireplace facade! ✨ This project is a condo in a historic converted building in Brooklyn Heights. It’s actually multiple buildings that were combined to form one. You can see that in the apartment as you pass through a double thick exterior wall (that we arched of course!) and the now closed up exterior window openings on the exposed brick wall. Paloma’s on Poplar is all about graceful curves. The first one you see is the one leading through the original exterior wall. We love the peak of the kitchen you get from the other side. We also rounded the edge of that corner and the edges of the mezzanine floor. The edge of the kitchen corner top that is close to the bottom of the stairs is rounded to allow for more space to navigate around the busy corner. Finally, we brought the curves upstairs with an arched entrance to the WC and shower room in the primary bathroom.
