The witching hour is said to occur between 3 and 4 AM, when the veil between the Spirit World and the earthly realm is as thin as smoke. Spirits and messages from the other side, as well as messages your Higher Self, can come through strongly at this hour. Cast a circle for protection. Light candles to attract the spirits. Say a deceased loved one’s name to call them to you. Envision them in your mind’s eye and express words of welcome. It may take a few minutes to make contact. Listen with all of your heart and all of your senses. The flames may begin to flicker when supernatural energies present themselves. You can practice candle scrying by gazing into the dancing flames to divine information from the other side. As you stare into the light, entering into a meditative state, notice any messages you may receive (through “hearing,” “seeing,” and feeling). When your intuition tells you that it is time for your session to come to a close, say thank you and goodbye to the spirit(s), then gently snuff out your candles.
