such a fun night at @sunsetbeachhotel with @giorgioarmani. It didn’t hit me until I was on the ferry to shelter island that the brand had played a pivotal role at the start of my career. I’ll never forget studying abroad in Florence and planning a weekend trip to Milan for fashion week. A friend of a friend of my parents happened to know someone in the armani Milan office who offered to take me to the show. I was ecstatic and nervous. all my friends were headed to oktoberfest, so I went solo. that weekend ended up giving me the intro I needed to apply for a summer internship in New York before graduation. I got the internship, worked for free all summer, and instantly fell in love with the city. I remember sipping an espresso before the show, tripping in my heels on the way in, and so naively going up to Anna Wintour to ask for a photo.
