I guess it’s finally time to talk about all the incredible experiences law school brought me (& my accomplishments, lol ew) 2-4⚖️ I competed & then coached for the Wagner Moot Court team in NYC. I also got to compete as a 3L in the NYU Nationals comp at the federal courthouse in ATL. 5-7⚖️ I got to compete for the Black Law Student Association’s mock trial 2 years in a row, coaching & being on the team my 3rd year. We won 2nd place last year & went to Nationals for the first time in a decade. Team A are my babies for LIFE. 8: Most of all, I had the greatest coaches I could ever ask for, got to force my moot & mock ppl to become my friends & they can never get rid of me. 9⚖️ I got to write, produce & star in a short film about mental health & criminal justice for a law and film seminar with my gf @bathesinboytears as co-writer & director, law school bestie as AD, and so many friends and local talented humans lending their time & skills (we are still in post production but it IS coming) 10 ⚖️Was invited to a talk with @berniceaking for the center for law & religion and got to chat with her about advocacy (!!!) 11-12 ⚖️I had amazing summer jobs with great coworkers and got to do things like iconic client visits (chick fil a’s filming studio) and visiting an alumni judge in his chambers. 13-16 ⚖️I worked for Warner Bros. Discovery @wbd during our Barbie era 💅🏽, got to publish an article with my CNN mentor, and worked on exciting projects like a Beyoncé country documentary (now on Max), a drag documentary, and Eric Andre’s latest special. 17-18⚖️ joined the law school band & also dragged my law school friends to performances for my own music 😜 19⚖️ Won our trial advocacy program with my amazing moot Nationals team partner (in @carbonatedclaud we trust 🫡) 20⚖️ according to Google, “Order of the Barristers is a national honor society for United States law school graduates. It recognizes graduating law students and practicing lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional skill in trial advocacy, oral advocacy, and brief writing.” ..so that’s pretty cool!
