Happy Birthday to us @graceburns! On the eve of your birthday last night, I couldn’t sleep because those same feelings of excitement and anticipation were so present as I lay there in the same bed I labored in. As I walked through the neighborhood this morning where I was pregnant with you and where the home we have created as a family and all the childhood memories remain, I can’t help but feel nostalgic. It’s so hard to comprehend how quickly these 22 years have flown by sometimes and then also as if we’ve know one another for centuries. You continue to amaze me since the moment we met - in countless ways. Your poise, sensibility, and determination are unrivaled in my mind, and my vocabulary is too limited to express all the qualities that you embody. As with each and every milestone and accomplishment earned this far, I know you’re just getting started. Your birthday was one of the best days of my life, and you are a constant reminder of why I work so hard to ensure other mothers have that experience too. I love you more each and every day. 💗
