Here’s why @helloburlington is your ultimate fall weekend destination: Idyllic & charming Burlington has been my home for over 5 years and it is the perfect home base for an adventurous fall weekend! Take a long weekend + explore using this 3 day fall adventure itinerary ⤵️ Day 1 Fuel up on breakfast at August First (you HAVE to get a grilled maple biscuit with jam!)🍳 before renting bikes or taking a long walk on the Colchester Causeway. This path is surrounded by water on both sides and connects VT to NY! After your adventure swing by Foam and grab a drink before heading to Waterfront Park hop to aboard a sunset sail with @lets_go_sailing_vt ⛵️ This is the perfect way to catch a beautiful sunset and learn a bit of history about Lake Champlain! After the sail, grab an iconic maple creemee before heading home🍦 Day 2: Rent a canoe, kayak or paddle board and hit the water! With over 587 miles of shoreline, there’s plenty to see and explore. Lake Champlain is after all, the star of the show in Burlington. 🌊 For lunch, hit up @churchstreetmarketplace which is a pedestrian only street filled to the brim with food, shopping, and craft drinks. One of my favorites lunch spots is @fhtgburlington ! After lunch make your way to 🍎 @shelburneorchards to pick some apples and grab a hot apple cider. Take some time to find the secret apple door and try some apple brandy while your’e there. Day 3: Time to hit the trails! With 31 trails covering over 200 miles you’re sure to find the perfect hike for you 🥾Some of my favorites in town include Red Rocks Park and Lone Rock Point. These trails take you along the waterfront and have beautiful fall foliage once the leaves start to turn! Keep the adventure going, plan ahead and book with ✨ @adventuredinner. It’s more than just a regular dinner, Adventure Dinner curates and hosts unexpected food and drink experiences around Vermont! This is awesome for a special event, date night, or night out with friends. If you have an extra day, Stowe VT is an hour away & is beautiful for more leaf peeping in the mountains!
