To commemorate “Woman’s History Month” we are excited to unveil our “Working Class Cap” inspired by J. Howard Millers iconic Westinghouse Electric “We Can Do it Poster” as an inspiration image to boost female worker morale in 1943.
The original Depicted Woman in the poster was Rosie the Riveter, an allegorical cultural Icon of World War II, representing the women who worked in factories and shipyards during the war. These woman sometimes took entirely new jobs replacing the male workers who joined the military. Rosie the riveter is used as a symbol of American Feminism and Women’s economic advantage.
Cap will be available March 24th. 💪🏽
