Happy #firstdayoffall! ⁣To mark the start of decorative gourd season, I’m sharing this breakfast sandwich featuring a homemade pumpkin-shaped everything bun. Inside is sliced avocado, cheesy scrambled eggs, scallions, and sriracha mayo.⁣ ⁣ Admittedly the contents of this sandwich weren’t very fall-like but they did taste very good together and this is one of my go-to breakfast sandwich combos that I love all year! (Inspired by the Fairfax sandwich at @eggslut)⁣ ⁣ San Francisco finally gets its warm weather at this time of year and later today, I’m flying off to somewhere even more sunny, so I’m very much still in a summer state of mind. But I do love shooting fall content, and I am working on a blog post for how to adapt your favorite bun/dinner roll recipes into pumpkin-shaped hamburger buns, which I promise I’ll share shortly after I get back.
