Volcano Hikers 🌋🚶🏻‍♂️ This is how the hiking path to Meradalir Volcano looked when it was active - thousands of people hiking 7km just to see the volcano every day 🥾 Even though the eruption has stopped for now, it is still one of Iceland’s most popular hiking spot. The freshly solidified lava field is still very hot and you will see steam rising up from it. You can still feel the heat and smell the sulphur in some areas.
