The beauty of the Bible is that it’s more than just letters on pages. It’s more than just old stories. It’s more than just a book that christians are to study. It’s more than history. It’s the Creator’s love letter to His creation. It’s His words. The beauty of the Bible is that God, through the Holy Spirit, wrote it to us. The creator of the universe, of you and me, has something to say to US. He wants to have a relationship with every person.
Once you realize this, you can start to grasp the importance of the word. That’s why it’s the ultimate truth and authority in someone’s life who is a follower of Christ. We get to not just merely know about Him, but we get to know Him.
Christians, this is why the Bible is our daily bread. What is your daily bread right now? The Bible or your phone?
Take time to listen to all God has to say through reading His word.
You can’t be too busy for God. You will make time for the things you desire, for the things that are important to you.
Immersing ourselves in God’s word provides the foundation for our identity and life.
If you’re immersing yourself in things of this world, just know you are making the foundation of your identity and life on something that is fleeting, temporary, and ultimately unfulfilling.
When your life is wrapped up in this world, and the desires of your flesh, you’ll be left empty. Never fulfilled. You’ll always long for something more. To be loved and valued, for joy and hope and peace in life, to be heard, to be seen. You’re searching the world for a longing in your heart that only God can fulfill. He alone offers true, eternal satisfaction.
The Lord has taught me that I can only grow in my love and relationship with Him through being in His word. By intentionally seeking Him day in and day out. By being fixed on Him and pursing Him and leaving everything I desire behind. Because Christ has so much more to offer.
When you focus on your relationship with Him, His blessings will flow.
Oh how life changing it is to KNOW God. In Christ alone my hope, joy, purpose, and life is found!
Thank you Lord for your word. 💌
