If you know me, you know this photo of me and my little cherub (summer the chihuahua in the basket) you know this photo has many things I love. Sunshine, water, creativity, hats & my little dog. It’s the simple things that I love: creativity & sunshine makes me happy but working so hard in the summer can take me away from doing the things I love outside of work. I try to live consciously, as It’s really so intense. It can be challenging to keep a balance and a personal life when travelling so much. When you are going from place to place and shooting you are significantly limited in editing time- so I don’t get any time off or any weekends because of edits on top of shooting. That needs to change. It’s time to take in less for next year. Being a perfectionist can be a lot! I can’t help but utterly love what I do. I’m an artist after all. I live through light, tone, colour, texture. It’s how I see the world & I get excited at the prospect of creating something beautiful. But I also have done this for a long time now, and I think it’s important to be even more selective going forward. I’ve always worked well under pressure which is perhaps why photographing high level productions suits me. My clients only benefit from that passion to create. But that level of work takes making the impossible possible sometimes! And I would like a little more time to replenish after the intense work rather than go straight to the next job. Though Sometimes it cannot be helped so planning your year ahead of time is important and building your team and support network is key. I’m ready to finish these events & edits beautifully. But quality work takes time. This, from experience is something I know. And my clients will always trust me to take time to deliver the best results.
