The ORANGE trousers!! The concept of time is something that continuously flummoxes me, some memories feel like yesterday while others are buried deep in my mind barely accessed. When I found out we were pregnant, I immediately remembered parts my older sisters journey to motherhood, and these trousers played a large role! She was growing and uncomfortable, upon seeing me wearing these around the house proceeded to ask me if she could borrow them as they looked so comfy. They became her unlikely pregnancy staple. I never threw them out as they were always going to be special. 19 years later and here I am, at home in Worcester, 6 months into pregnancy and wearing the exact same pair of trousers. Memories revived and memories created for my family this past week. Special doesn’t cover it.
