One of Virgil Abloh’s philosophies is that everything is a prototype—a work-in-progress. It was part of the inspiration behind the choice to use custom-made, plywood tables, designed by @alaska___alaska, which display objects and recent collaborations of Abloh’s in #VirgilAblohBkM. ⁠ ⁠ The table is also a metaphor for the runway and drafting station, places where Abloh conceptualized⁠ and showed his non-hierarchical, interdisciplinary visions with community and collaboration in mind. ⁠ ⁠ Like Abloh’s creative journey and legacy, these tables subvert norms and make new statements about old ideas.
