✨Chinatown Arts Festival: Night at the Opera — Sat Oct 22, 6-8PM!✨ Join us for our biggest cultural production yet this Saturday! Grab your friends and family for a shining night of Min opera. With a full traditional Chinese orchestra, the Eastern Fuzhou Opera Group will perform “Dream of the Red Chamber” and the Fujianese classic tale of “Gan Guobao” at Forsyth Plaza. Poet & drag performer @theillustriouspearl will emcee the night as our friends, neighbors, and artists from Chinatown walk the runway in their best fashion. Community members of all ages will be showing off their favorite clothing pieces and accessories... and plain being fabulous. At the end of the night, we invite anyone who wants to walk to have their own moment on Chinatown’s very own “red carpet!” 💎 🌟@theillustriouspearl is a winner of the Nightboat Poetry Prize and the author of Togetherness (2022).
