Yesterday I was a guest speaker for the BUSINESS OF FASHION summer course at @ucla . I spoke to High-school students about their future within our fashion community. I brought my illustration and design portfolio along with one of my favorite sustainable garments I’ve designed to give them some inspiration. I stressed the importance of VALUE, APPRECIATION and provoked the thought of conceptualizing negativity not as bad but more so as in a simple mathematical formula. Controlling the negative/using subtraction in effect may be positive for our livelihoods and success. Remember, you are the one that gets to create your formula.
