Remember when you asked for more? A larger life? Better boundaries? To love yourself?
Whenever we ask for more, we signal to the universe that we are ready to embrace more of our wholeness...therefore any parts that were made to feel less than magnificent and stunning (the signature of our true essence) come out of the woodwork to be reckoned with.
For example, if you say you want better boundaries you will attract folks that bulldoze past them, that refuse to honor them...so that you might get your wish of finding and sculpting good boundaries within yourself.
(People who honor our boundaries don’t make us work but they also don’t help us find where the boundary lives inside of us so they are not as valuable as the trouble makers in our lives).
If you say you want to learn to love yourself, all the parts that were made to feel unloveable, unworthy, disgusting etc will parade themselves in front of you so that you can help them release the mistaken beliefs they hold about themselves. Moreover these unloveable parts hold sacred receptor sites that are essential to heal in order to actually receive the self love you know deserve and are.
So next time you find yourself getting stretched by life after asking for more or better, remember that the universe is happily obliging your request.
This is also why venerating pain in our healing work is essential - because if we judge it as pathology we will feel like something is “wrong” when we become uncomfortable. Rather than sitting and listening for the medicine that pain holds.
Spiritual birth is no different from childbirth, it is messy, uncomfortable, sometimes terrifying and painful, to birth larger versions of ourselves. If we want to honor our spirits impulse to continually expand we must get practiced at this birthing process, venerate it as sacred and part of the divine privilege of gracing this planet with our human existence.
Here’s to a well-lubricated birth. She’s on her way and she is spectacular....🌀
