Garlicky whipped feta dip topped with a medley of figs, grapes, herbs from my garden, chopped pistachios, and a drizzle of olive oil. Does this count as a feta version of a #butterboard or did I get carried away and pile too many extra goodies on top?⁣ ⁣ I just got back from a lovely trip to Greece last week, where breakfast almost every morning was yogurt with honey and figs. I love how wonderfully simple that Greek-inspired sweet breakfast was to put together, but I was also eager to concoct a more elaborate, savory version when I got home—and this is what I came up with! I wanted to make the most of fig season while I still could and one of the things I love about mellow-sweet figs is how well they pair with creamy cheeses. The mini bursts of juiciness from the thinly-sliced grapes made for a lovely contrast with the salty, garlicky whipped feta too. ⁣ ⁣ If you’ve been wondering what is the key to how I do these cool-looking cuts for the figs, it’s having a nice sharp knife that can cut cleanly and precisely through the soft flesh of the ripe fig. I’ve been relying on @wusthof knives for over a decade and they have never let me down for all my food styling ideas. And starting today, their Gourmet Grey series, which I used here, is now available on their website—it’s this beautiful, soft grey handle color that looks super modern and chic. Grey is my favorite color, and this particular shade makes me think of moody, cozy fall mornings, so it’s perfect timing to have these as the latest addition to my knife collection. I’ll share a link to this @wusthof collection in my stories today so you guys can check it out. #MyWUSTHOF #WUSTHOF⁣ #wusthofpartner ⁣ #figs #figseason #feta #fruitsalad #eatprettythings #inseasonnow #foodstyling⁣
