In April this year I invited some friends to a part of the world that never fails to inspire me - deep into Spanish horse country, where the ancient culture of saddlery and boot making still survives. It’s where Moorish design meets European, where an outdoor lifestyle, with it’s rural traditions, is a key source of vital knowledge to the conservation of our natural world – And it’s been the home of our production for over 20 years. Design details are not frivolous at PC. They all stem from somewhere. Whether it’s the horse’s fringed headband or ‘mosquero’, (designed to keep the flies off the horse’s face) that end up on The Long Tassel Boots as a zip pull, or the constant in our boots’ functionality - We design for adventurous trips like this one, and to share my ‘design world’ with @indiahicksstyle, @alexandratolstoy and @feedrummond was an absolute pleasure. All made particularly pleasurable thanks to @kukutana_ , where we stayed, and where our wonderful horses are stabled. Kukutana is a family home, owned by the Llorente family. It’s a farmhouse situated within The Doñana National Park, which is filled with wildlife (from migratory birds to deer, wild boars, and the Iberian lynx) and home to Europe’s longest virgin beach. The Kukutana way of life is to experience a unique environment, filled with history and natural beauty. It’s somewhere you can forget about the rest of the world. Not surprisingly, in this divine and peaceful place, India and I made the final touches to our collection for Autumn. Our work has been so incredibly appreciated by you (thank you) that we have virtually sold out!
