This painting by Frank Walter is part of a curated selection of artworks at the new LOEWE Hooftstraat store in Amsterdam presented alongside our latest collections. Featuring simple lines and colors of a red sailboat amidst crisp blue and green colorfields, the intimate landscape recalls the artist’s own Caribbean origins through a refined equilibrium of abstraction, color, and design. A mostly reclusive artist, writer, philosopher and poet, Walter created an astounding repertoire of over 5,000 paintings, as well as sculptures and writings.
