“Rhody Christmas” On a trip to Newport, RI in early December 2018 I swung by Jamestown on the way home as I do on most of my day trips out this way. But this time of year there’s a special added bonus at the Conanicut Marina to bring some holiday vibes to this iconic view. The tiny shingled shack on the dock is trimmed perfectly in lights, topped off with a colorful Christmas tree on the roof and even a wreath hung on the door. I was so excited to capture this picturesque shoreline Christmas image with the Claiborne Pell/Newport Bridge in the background. The water was even calm enough to get a reflection of the Christmas lights and add some more depth to the shot. December has always been a super busy month for me so over the years it’s been tough to travel far in New England for holiday scenes.
