my oldest girl turned 5 today🌷 I remember my first prayer over her life as I placed my hand on my womb & pleaded that she’d know the God who created her for all of her days. I remember the pain of labor until she was placed on my chest and I thought, “it’s as if I’ve known her my whole life.” And I do remember in the steep of covid days, on my daily walks with her, looking at those beautiful blue eyes and thinking there was no way this baby would turn five one day. I’ve watched her blossom into the extrovert I never was, keep her baby laugh that screams undeniable joy, have an imagination storytellers could only keep up with and have heard the most profound truths about our Lord from my darling little five year old, Aspen. she’s a treasure, this one. I adore her with my whole being. happy birthday to the one who made me a mom.✨🌾
