It's snowing in #Toronto! We're on it. Here's what you should know at this time: ❄️ Stay home if you can. Toronto road conditions aren't ideal right now. Our snow clearing operations have started, but roads and walkways are icy and slippery, so please, be careful and stay back from and do not pass salt trucks and plows. Let them do their work safely and efficiently. ❄️ Roads are currently being salted, and plows will be deployed as soon as accumulation reaches 2.5 cm on expressways, 5 cm on major roads and 8 cm on local roads. Sidewalks and cycle tracks will be cleared at 2 cm of snow accumulation. ❄️ You can find out where the plows are at toronto.ca/PlowTO ❄️ Please give us at least 16 hours after the snow falls before you put in a service request. ❄️ If possible, avoid parking your vehicle on the road during and after a snowfall. Parked vehicles can sometimes delay us in clearing the roads for emergency and transit vehicles. ❄️ If you're shovelling, shovel snow onto your property vs the road, as this will cause further delays and issues with plows.
