I cannot believe this day is finally here!!! I am so grateful. I’ve dreamed of this day for years and put it off for so long because I couldn’t afford it and I was worried in such an old building, it just wouldn’t be possible. Now that it’s underway though I have been pleasantly surprised by how smoothly things have gone so far (more on that later). I know absolutely nothing about renovating a kitchen, so when it came to the design I brought in the pros. @Barry + Jordan 🤎 of the Brownstone Boys came up with this clever design that is not only beautiful but also maximizes the very small space. They then really hooked it up for me and I’m beaming with pride to say that the cabinetry and everything you see in the moodboard aside from appliances is from the iconic @deVOL ✨✨✨ I’m also getting a dishwasher and fridge with an icemaker, both of which are going to be paneled to match the cabinetry. I know this may not seem like a big deal to some, but I’ve never known such *luxury* in my life and it feels so dang fancy and again, I’m just so grateful. And look at my cutie pie French inspired stove with brass accents- can you even?! All appliances are from @AjMadison . And of course I can’t forget the marble checkerboard floor of my dreams from Riad Tile. Sebastian, my boyfriend, has been hard at work demo-ing this week while the cats and I escaped the stress/mess at home. I haven’t slept in a week as my mind races both with anxiety and new ideas (more ways to spend money, great!) but I keep telling myself how worth it this will all be when it’s finally said & done. Shout out to my landlord for saying “okay sure” when I presented my idea and to my super & plumber for being supportive. And of course Sebastian for doing the literal dirty work and encouraging me when I get overwhelmed.
