💙 Life Update 💙 Unfortunately, I’ll be down and out for a short while 🥺 Randomly about 2 weeks ago, I woke up with a slightly swollen right arm. I “kept an eye on it” and after about 3 days, when it had started showing other symptoms and gotten worse, I went to the DR to get checked out. From there I was sent to get an ultrasound at the hospital (my arm was, at that point, in pain/ numb and twice the size of my other arm). They discovered I have a pretty nasty DVT (blood clot in the major artery in my arm) which has traveled and caused a good bit of PE’s (Pulmonary Embolisms - blood clots on/ surrounding the lungs). I was checked in to the ED (Emergency Department) where I underwent alllll the blood tests and scans and was held for 2 days. My symptoms are now spreading over into the right side of my chest, up the back of my neck, and down into my shoulder blade. I am currently (hopefully only for the time being 🤞🏼) not allowed to take my HRT meds (Hormone Replacement Therapy) 💀 and am on blood thinners. I have to return in around a week to have 2 surgical procedures with a vascular surgeon to go in and bust up the DVT clot in my arm and then go back in and remove it. As a result, I won’t be able to attend my currently booked shows over the next few weeks. Drag is my passion, a very big part of who I am, and also my livelihood. For those of you who know me, you know I’m normally pretty independent/ self sufficient 😅 But I could really use some help so I don’t fall behind until I’m allowed to be back on the stage.
