I debated whether or not to post about this because I don’t really seek attention generally, but I’m thrilled to share I’ve been promoted to ELLE.com’s deputy editor, news and strategy. I’ve been at @elleusa for over a decade now, starting at the bottom as an editorial assistant. I think that version of myself would be so floored to be where I am now. So I’m posting for her and other young professionals in that place, to celebrate the journey and the fact that yes, you really can grow a lot in one place. At every level of my time at ELLE, I’ve worked with the most incredible, talented journalists, and I am the most grateful for the chance to learn from them and help them each day so our content can reach as many people as possible. I feel so fortunate to have been in an environment where we all know we shine the brightest when we don’t dim any person’s light but instead amplify it. I’m very excited to keep growing at work and learning new things. It’s the experience that’s the ultimate reward, especially when you love your job. The glass is always half full, even when the inbox and to-do list are overflowing. Thank you to everyone for your support and for reading our work.
