Medieval meets modern at Numero Venti, a multidisciplinary artist residency housed in the historic spaces of Palazzo Galli Tassi in Florence. Chefs Martin Planchaud (@martin_plnchd) and Monika VarsĖavskaja (@cuhnja) collaborated on this feast and food installation reinterpreting 13th century recipes. In one ornately painted room, sculptural vegetable swords offered new meaning to dining al fresco. A table in a nearby courtyard was heaped with fresh fruit and roasted pork shoulder and three stuffed preparations: Chianti wine leaf dolmas, pirogi, and stuffed bird necks. Cherries au sirop, ricotta al limone, and dulce de leche provided sweet fuel for hours of dancing.
