9 YEAR ANNIVERSARY !!️💥❤️🥰😭🥺 while we endure such trying, transactional and loveless times, to maintain a loving, reciprocal partnership for so long is a dreamy feat i do not take for granted. we’ve always done things our own way, challenging a lot of what’s expected of romantic relationships, and so many people in our community love on us and thank us for choosing different paths along the way. i’m moved by the number of times someone has thanked us for our vulnerability and our resistance to status quo expectations. i feel eternally grateful to spend these nine years building a home and life together. you are the most tender and kind soul and i have never met someone like you. you spend so many hours in helping me accomplish the projects that bring me purpose and connection ~ be it editing and proofreading my writing, producing my podcast, giving me principled feedback on workshops and lectures, sharpening my political arguments, or simple being a partner who knows the value of reproductive labor at home and acts on knowing that truth, so that i can focus on political and organizing work. i’m so proud that in a lot of ways, we’re living the dreams of our younger selves ~ i feel so lucky you get to write music, tour and perform for thousands and thousands of people. even when we struggle, we struggle within the bounds of care and respect. there are so many times i feel existential anxiety about the future and what’s ahead of us, but it’s safe to say that our union feels like an anchor of support when these thoughts kick in. we have over 20 countries under our travel belt and about to kick off our wildest adventure yet. i’m eternally grateful for everything and smile when i think of the rest of our lives together. i love you more than words will ever convey.
