People say to me “Bob, what is your real name? Your name is not Robert.” This is true, Bob in English is short for Robert. My name on my driver’s licence is Bharamtor Singh. When I came to Canada from India in 1989, I chose to use Bob as my name. My friends, business partners, neighbours, and even my family know me as Bob Dosanjh. I use my middle name Dosanjh in my media business, when I am on radio and television. Immigrants sometimes change when they move to a new home. We wear Western clothes, we adopt Western symbols like wedding rings, and sometimes we use Western names to help us work and live with our neighbours. But the important things do not change. Our faith, our families, and our efforts to build a better life here in Canada always are the same. But, there are also things that we left back home which we do NOT want in Canada. We do not want corrupt politicians and scandal in our government here in #Brampton. City Hall insiders like Patrick Brown and Nikki Kaur are dishonest and corrupt people. We need an outsider to get Brampton working again. On October 24th, elect me as your next mayor of Brampton, and together, we will get Brampton working again.
