“It’s inclusive, not exclusive,” said Virgil Abloh. “That’s my style of creation.” This Abloh-ism rings true with the SOCIAL SCULPTURE that sits at the center of Virgil Abloh: “Figures of Speech.” A space conceived by Abloh and his design studio @alaska___alaska where designers, artists, architects, students, activists, and the community can come together and exchange ideas. It’s a Museum within a Museum. As an active, living space, the SOCIAL SCULPTURE will be a site for education and public programming every second Sunday during the run of the exhibition with a focus on five key themes: fashion, architecture, design, music, and community beginning in August.
