Happy #NationalPetDay! Meet our Quinn, she’s such a good girl and ever since we adopted her, she’s been a huge part of our family. We could never imagine giving her up and that’s one of the reasons why I have legislation this year to create a permanent program to help homeless shelters take in people who own pets. A major barrier to providing shelter to the unhoused is not being able to take care of their pets, forcing them to choose between a roof over their heads or the pets they love. This is wrong and we can fix it. Let’s take care of both ends of the leash.
