i am a proud trinidadian-american. 🇹🇹 for those who don’t know or have asked me in the past or who want to know, trinidad is the jewel of the caribbean and lives northeast of venezuela. i grew up with a love of the steel pan and woke up every morning to the sweet sound of soca music. my parents would often drive hours to orlando for doubles, my favorite trinidadian dish. i love tunnocks caramel bars and a cold glass of llb! in kindergarten, i begged my parents to let me be a trinidadian warrior princess. and that, i did!! i have watched my family grow to be so so successful in everything they do. i had the privilege of attending my aunt’s graduation from uf and my grandmother receive her master’s degree. my dad teared up as he put a trinidadian pin on my graduation stole. my parents are my best friends and two of the hardest working people i know. it’s not easy to support an actor child, but they’ve always let me know that they’re not going anywhere! i am part of a beautiful legacy of trinidadians and for that... i am a proud TRINIDADIAN american! please enjoy some photos to celebrate that joy! ting a ling a ling school bell a ring ❤️
